EURENCO STRENGTHENS ITS PRESENCE IN SORGUES
On 30 March 2021, Renaud MUSELIER, President of the Region Sud and President of the Regions of France, visited the Eurenco site in Sorgues to lay the first stone of its new Station de Traitement Actif des Rejets du site de Sorgues (STARS), launching the first phase of its plan to increase production capacity.
Following a demonstration phase, this innovative biological treatment unit will make it possible to divide the site’s liquid discharges by 10 and will also be supplied with carbonaceous waste from local sources. It will complete the actions linked to the circular economy, undertaken by Eurenco for more than 20 years, allowing the production of additives from waste from the manufacture of explosives. The construction work will enable a fully operational facility within 2 years.
During this visit, Eurenco also announced the acquisition of premises in Sorgues which will enable the transfer of all the functions of its head office to be finalised before the end of the summer of 2021 and to strengthen its Innovation, Research and Development division.

This installation is the first building block in the site’s modernisation project. Its commissioning will be a key step towards achieving our objective of doubling our activities by 2025.
