EURENCO and Saab strengthen their strategic partnership!

EURENCO, a European leader in energy materials, and SAAB AB, a global player offering advanced products, services and solutions in the field of defence and civil security, announce the signing of an amendment to their long-term agreement, marking a decisive new step in their cooperation.

This amendment will enable EURENCO to invest in a significant increase in its production capacity for double-base powders and octogen-based explosives, which are essential for ammunition for SAAB’s Carl Gustaf medium-calibre portable multi-role weapon system.

This strategic project is jointly funded by EURENCO, SAAB and the European ASAP (Act in Support of Ammunition Production) programme, and will enable the current production capacity for these energy components to be doubled by 2027.

As a long-standing supplier to the Carl-Gustaf programme, EURENCO has been supporting SAAB for over 40 years with the supply of high-performance powders and explosives. This historic partnership is further strengthened by a shared long-term vision and concrete industrial investments.
